Hi all, My name is Robert, and I am in western NC. Bought a 1973 Maverick Grabber 302 automatic in 1982 (first car), street raced it for a year and a half, and totaled it in 1983. Owned my second Maverick in 1985, a '71 Grabber. Sold it in '87. Recently decided to start looking in to building a replica of my first Maverick. Looking for a good '73 or '74 V-8 2-door running or not. Looked around the site and have to say that several of you have some awesome Mavericks. In my opinion, the Maverick was and is overlooked as a true '70's muscle car. I have 2 sons who don't know what a muscle car is, and I want to build one and show them that the "old man" is still young at heart. I'd love to get out there and waste a few of the 4-banger street punks who think they're so hot in their little "toy" street cars. Time to introduce them to real muscle.
