If the two regulators are the same, I'd take the voltage regulator back to where you bought it and tell them you want one for a Maverick.:)

I just returned a Stant thermostat for a 200. Checker wanted $15 for one and you can buy a cheaper version for around $4. The pricing is out of control.

Was it a 38,42, or 55 amp regulator?

    I bought the Maverick one.
It was rated for a 302 so I bought it. I have no idea what amperage it is. It works and the Comet is cruisin and bruisin again.

    1 wire alternator coming soon.

I forgot what part it was, maybe a starter, and they didn't have it to fit a Maverick.
They were going to have to order it, and it was expensive.
I'd get it in a week, unless I wanted to pay extra for shipping.

Just on a hunch, I told the counter guy to look up the same part for a Stang.
Not only was it in stock, but they had 3... and it was CHEAPER!

In the computer the parts had slightly different numbers, but the cars used the same parts originally. If not the same Ford number, then close enough that there was no disearnable or functional difference.
