    ok ive found a 1974 maverick to fix my 1971 which i wrecked ...will the front ends be compatable??..what about the rear end?

    The fenders will be different, but they can be made to work. If you look your 71 fenders will have a notch for the bumper, and the 74's won't, but you can cut a notch easily enough.

    suppose i use the seventy four fender and the seventy four bumper then i should be good to go right.? i can by pass cutting the notch?

    I don't think the 74 bumper brackets will bolt to the 71? unless you drill some holes in the brackets.

    thanks a lot....so if he also had a 5lug rear axel would i be able to switch it out with my four lug?

    yea, you can do the 4 lug swap

    the fenders and hood will work but you'll also have that big ugly bumper up front. i'd try to trade some of the unused parts on the '74 so you can get a 70-72 bumper

    Yes, you certainly don't want that big ugly bumper on the front with a small one on back.

    ok thanks so ill get the fender and trade out the four lug for the five lug then ill just look for a small bumperfor the front...but what sort of modifying do i need to do to the fender in order to make it fit with a seventy 1or2 bumper??

    70 mav, 71 grabber, 73 Comet, 2004 f-250 crew cab diesel, 2001 f-250, 2004 explorer, 2007 Gold Wing trike.
    The only thing you should need to do is notch the bottom of the front of the 74 fender. Compare that to the earlier fender.:)
