so mav's and comet's are getting harder and harder to find in the junk yards here in salt lake. about 3 to 4 years ago i could go to almost any yard and they would have at least one most of the time two or three. so i have been calling around looking to see if i could find one, the local pull n save said yeah we have a 76 comet sitting here. so i went to check it out and i could not find it. it was kinda dissapointing because i have been wanting to find that random car in a junk yard that has those few amazing parts that i could use. it just made me wish i had more money a few years ago so i could have gotten some of the parts off those cars. passed up a lot of good parts that ended up being scraped.

Yea...it sucks. I remember the same thing, going to the yards and seeing them. I remember once seeing 6 in a row at one place. I go down that road like two or three times a year and I still turn my head to see the field where they once sat. I keep wanting to go to the ones that are open, but I am always disapointed so I don't make the effort.

yea its harsh around here. if your looking for something over 10 years old your probably out of luck unless you just happen to be there when what you want is getting towed in

Simply not worth it to leave empty handed. I try to have several parts on my list, whenever I did/do go.
