Hey so i decided it was time to change the vacuum modulator, when i took it off there was the old seal, and then a long skinny rod in the middle.

When i went to the parts store, i bought a replacement, but it does not have the rod in it.

Do i need to reinstall the old rod? or is it not necesary

Not a problem,, that rod is what makes contact inside the tranny,, its not hard to get in,,, just dont rip the O ring,,:Handshake
