Probably been done to death, but I'll add another. Watching a "documentary" last night on one of the movie channels called "Cowboy de Amore". This story centers around an old man on the Texas/Mexico border whose job was to find Hispanic wives for American men willing to pay a fee.

On topic, there's a scene where he actually moves down to Mexico after getting divorced, and the camera is panning his "new" home. A 1975-76 Maverick is parked in front; some young guys are in it, start it up and pull away, with the camera following a short distance.

It was brown, had "mag" wheels, and the body was full of dents, but it was a Maverick, nonetheless. Makes you wonder how many got south of the border; always interesting!

I saw one on COPS one time while the officer was chasing some person in his car. Good thing for DVR because I can pause it and take a good look at it.

And theres a whole section for this called "Hollywood Mavericks"

...hence my initial comment "Probably been done to death" - I did not know where it was.
