    I'm new and i'm going to restore my first maverick soon. I want to put a 351W c4 with 9 inch disc. brakes in it but most i see most R with a 302. Is that going to be a problem? I will take any helpful tips please. jakaroo@tampabay.rr.com Bob

    Welcome to the board. The 351w will fit in with no mods at all but you'll be yelling cuss words when you try to change the plugs. Most that have them in have cut the shock towers back. that gives you a few more inches. You can do a search on this stuff and it will bring up all the old posts. You can get a lot of cubes by stroking the 351w but a popular swap also is the 302 based stroker motor. Either a 331 or a 347. Either one will give you more HP than you'll ever need in a street Maverick.:Welcome:
