engine is it a boss r not

    Have a couple from 70-72
    what do you guys think? 302 heads and intake all fit perfect someone told me these little pulleys would give more horsepower but would constantly run my battery dead, what do you think? Im not a mechanic and do not know much about engines, but pretty good at body work and spraying so I appreciate all the help you guys can give me on this engine.:thumbs2:

    I am pic illiterate but,I think you can only post a few in your gallery.I think they also need to be under 250 KB.As far as attachment to your post,I dont know,I have had absolutely no success in that area.Good luck.

    No that is not a Boss 302. The small pulley on the water pump won`t help HP out put.

    Plus it was bolted to an Automatic tranny... Did Boss 302's come with Automatics?

    This engine when I got it was just a block and 351 heads and me and my brother put all these parts on we dont know if a manual will bolt up it is a automatic now, left doing the rest by myself and dont know much about mechanical work try my photos site out to see more engine pictures http://profile.imageshack.us/user/kash3291/

    a boss has screw in freeze plugs. Definitely not a boss.:)

    No problem. To the right of the orange oil filter are 3 round indentations. These are the freeze plugs. Those just hammer in. The boss ones screw in.:)

    if you look closely you can see the screw in freeze plugs. Also notice the valve covers. they have 8 bolts rather than the usual 6 bolts.:)
