That is a very neat car. You definitely need to get a Marti report on that car, like others said. There couldn't have been many, if ANY others built like that. What plant was the car built at (second character of the VIN)? As much as I usually say Mavericks should be hot rodded rather then left stock, this car would be a big exception to that. I would just detail the car/clean the engine bay up, and leave it alone.

    Congrats on an awesome car!!

    Very nice!
It's odd seeing the deluxe interior with the std steering wheel too.

Personally I love the rubber floor... Carpet is too much trouble to clean!

Thanks everybody, I feel pretty fortunate to have scored the car. The only thing I plan on doing to it and not really sure if I will is change steering wheel out to a three spoke sport wheel, I have a really nice st of Maverick slotted mags that I think would look killer on it but then they would detract from the whole concept of the car but at least they are Maverick specific so it is staying with the whole Maverick theme even though they were not an option in 72.

I have a hotrod Grabber so other than keeping motor running and cleaning up engine compartment that part will stay stock.

Marti report will be in the works shortly, dont know if I will spend the big bucks or just go with the $45.00 deluxe report, the window sticker I have is kinda tattered so it would be nice to have a clean one.

That reminds me of the kind of car that you leave bone stock interior/exterior, but hide some go-fast goodies under the hood!

Maybe a tiny cam, aftermarket heads (painted blue), aluminum intake (with the stock air cleaner), and maybe 347 cubes... Looking bone stock of course.

I would make a copy of the window sticker and send it to Marti Auto Works for a reference.

Come on guys give me a break I feel bad enough about changing the wheels on it but just couldnt handle driving grandmas car, besides you only need one drag car and I already have that, well at least most people only need one.
