Well i took off today and headed down towards Corbin, Ky. to deliver some parts to a fellow maverick owner here on the board today. his screen name is Mav422, who's real name is Curtis. He is truly s stand-up guy and a great person to be around. my brother and i visited him at his home and stayed for a couple of hours talking cars and mavericks, but the best part came when we went into one of his garages...... in his 'shop garage', he has a '71 Grabber that he personally ordered brand new from a Ford dealership in Corbin, Ky. This was an amazing street car to say the least. i took over a dozen pictures of it because i liked it so well. i loved the color, interior, drivetrain, everything. it's a factory green car with silver stripes but was repainted some time ago by a good friend of his to a darker green. it's a factory 302, 3speed manual, floor shift car with deluxe comfortweave black bucket seat interior. he also has a '73 2door that he has put together as a strip toy with a 347/C4 combination that turns 7.20's in the 8th and with all steel body panels. needless to say my brother and i had a blast talking to him about cars and mavericks. i hope to see him many times in the near future and thought i would share my experience with the board. ive also included some pictures as well so enjoy, i know i did! http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i82/mean_maverick/curtis mavs/?start=0
Nice cars. Always fun meeting more people from here. I've had the pleasure of meeting 22 people off this site so far.
Thats what its all about. putting a face and name to some1 you talk to and hear their story about their car or cars. Looking forward to seeing you again in Columbus Dave.TTFN RON
Yeah, it was a great time. and if you'll notice, i got a snap shot or two of the dealer order form for his car. oh, and his interior was unbelieveable to be factory original. not to mention the speedo only shows 12,xxx on it and it's original
