Good to know. I don't know nuthin' 'bout no Auburns....

Except for that rascally school in Alabama that Georgia loves to beat up on so much.

My actual hands-on experience is limited to Traction Locs and spools.

I'm running an 8.8 with the trak-lok and I like it alright. It's just what you'd expect from a bone stock mustang unit. It's easy to drive and mine's a street car anyway, i can't even tell it's got a limited slip just ridin around town. I probably wouldn't use one in a drag car though.:)

Earl what kind of mileage do you get with the 3.55. I am putting one in myself.

Earl also has a T-5. That'll make the mileage better.

My 8.8 needs a good 3.55 or maybe 3.73. The 3.08 and t5 gets great gas mileage if you highway drive alot. Very long winded though.

You know I would much rather have 3.89 gears with a detroit locker than my 3.50 gearsd mini-spool, but the detroit locker is $600 bucks. I can hardly notice the minispool in my street driven car. Only notice a little resistance on a low speed sharp turn. Minispool- $35 dollars. big differance.

    I've had a few
I need to find out what our '95 Mustang has in it. The previous owner rebuilt the rear and installed a 3.73 gear. That was when the car had 113,000 miles back in 2000, it has well over 200,000 miles on it now, and that rear has not been treated nicely. It certainly dosen't have any problem lighting up both rear tires, can't say the car has ever spun just one wheel.. Just driving around, feels like any other car. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to put in my "Maverick rear axle that happens to not be under a Maverick anymore".
