Anyone know where to get them? The places I looked at dont specify 8". Would a 7.5" with 10 holes work? Any thoughts?
Much like a 9 inch, the differential cover is not removable on the 8 inch. It is welded on. Here is a picture originally posted by Craig Selvey in another thread.
One idea, one of my relatives built a t-bucket one time. had a narrowed 9 inch in it. he knew he couldn't put a chrome cover on it but everything else was chrome so he did it anyway. don't know what cover he bought but he did fix one on there and if you really didn't pay a lot of attention to it you'd think it was made for it. strange but that's what he wanted and that's what he did
True. This is a Mopar 8-3/4" banjo rear I saw in a cuda. Anything is possible if you are willing to spend the cash.
and when you look under to check out the chrome axle housing you also notice the cheap rusted up exhaust clamps lol
I love those 8 3/4 rears. If I were building something where the rear end was highly visible, I would definitely use one of those over a 9 inch.
What was he hauling with that Cuda ? Look at the stack of leaf springs. There's more there than you'll find on a one ton truck.
That chrome setup is freakin cool. But I wonder why he stole the old leaf packs from my truck and had them chromed?
