It WAS green. I too grew up racing at Sears Point and graduated Casa in '83 (yeah, I'm old) The high school class has come along way since I raced in it. Same car as now but running high 12's in high school. (high 11's now) So, you bought Steves wifes car? He gave up on that project eh! I ran my car the day his wife debuted her Maverick..

steve is a real good friend, basically family, of ours so when melissa got the dragster he knew he was going to become more of a crew chief and not get much chance to race, so he let the mav go to us for a trailer and a small amount of cash, barb is now racing the dart when she wants so their was no real need for the mav with them anymore so he let me take it off his hands in a way its still in the family he helps me all the time with it....after glenn phillups moved out to idaho from down the street steve became my mentor say to speak........ill definetly look for you at some of the races this year..:drive:

and yes i do plan to head to fallon as long as i can stay in the top 4 again....i placed 2nd last year and went to vegas....but the mav trans blew right before vegas and we couldnt get it fixed in time so steve let me borrow his slime green dart for vegas......had to slow it down a few seconds get back over the twelve range....this year i hope and pray the mav will be healthy enough to take with me....it was definetley hard gettting used to the power of the dart that usually ran in the 10's for the first at the finals.....anyways i am rambling on now......but yes i plan to be in fallon:yup:

well i graduate this may but i am not running in the high school class. they run it right after pro and with the poor car count in high shool it makes it hard to run the two classes back to back

i definetly agree with that for the first time run i was the only high school racer but then we ended up getting nine total out there come eliminations....we really lucked out.....our first tw0 races were cancelled because it was storming.....we barely were able to race on the 18th, it started raining later that night, so we barely squeaked out the race.

it did suprise me that only 8 others showed up because there is nearly a $10,000 scholarship for the winner of high school at infineon this year.

wow that is cool we have nothing like that and after i won all six of the races in the first series last year the car count was really bad for the second series but our racers have improved a lot and i hope some of them go to fallon this year but i doubt that they will unless a somebody steps up to pay for their whole teams trip.

yes i know who your track manager is. and that is a cool thing from the Eric Medlen foundation. we only really have one school that has a team and the rest of our racers are out there on their own. its always cool to hear about big high school programs. the one in boise idaho is really big.

just ran again on wednesday night and ran 12.53.....a whole 1/100 faster:bananaman....there is alot left on that car we got the new carb on, but now we need to make adjustments to it.......and even more importantly i am starting to lose traction as im getting faster, hopefully i have a fix for that real soon because i believe i can get at least a few more tenths out of it.
