The wife has a new project car. Its a 74 Maverick 2dr,250 6cly,C-4 trans, bench seat,A/C,P.S., and window washers. There is a good bit of frame work on the driver side front at the bumper braket that needs help and some rust here and there. It runs and I drove it around the development without killing anyone or myself. So the brakes work and the trans shifted just fine. We are really happy to be working on this one together.
Plans as of now are to replace the leaking gas tank and get the car road worthy for the summer, fabrication and most of the body work to be done as well. The idea of a turboed 2.3 with a blow through set up is being kicked around for next winter. Something around 350-400hp, A buddy of mine is really good with those little engines and is currently making 750hp to the wheels and running 8.50s @ 165mph. I look foward to getting some pics up of what the Mav looks like now, and work that I do to it.

    Thanks,Rick

Looks like a good project. I see your from WV. I bought my 69.5 from WV.

Your orange Comet is awesome. Your really have it sorted out well with the modest engine build. I do have a couple questions on it if I may hijack the thread some.

    What are your 60ft times.

    Thanks
    tim

Are you keeping the big bumpers or swapping to the small bumpers? If you are keeping the big bumpers....I would have the bumper bracket you need.

    Thanks all for the reply's

goldseries289 : You can post in the classifieds under in the Wanted section. That would get you more attention.

Chinguschild: Im working on it evryday..lol

tbirdz12: The best 60fts are 1.62 so far but usually fall around 1.64-65

    Craig,
As of now Im going to try and locate some small bumpers for it. I do have a 73 Comet bumper if I go that route, It looks very close to the 74 Maverick bumper.

    Thanks

Just FYI for you and others....the 1973 and 1974-1977 front bumper mounts are slightly different in case you didn't know.
