    hi evryone im from australia and am jst looking for helpful tips for my fords anyway i have two fords one is a fully worked ed falcon 6 ,4.0litre

    and my tf cortina thats udergoing a full resto this is a photoshoped picture of what it will look like but it will be a different colour havent decided yet? any ideas?

    im pretty sure the american 6 is the same as our early model sixes

    you might want to check out fordsix.com/forums for some 6cyl engine tech. our straight 6's got a pretty crappy head with the intake casted right into it

    ah well thats our pre x flow six so you didnt get efi six?

    what model sixes are there from ford in america for any model?

    144's 170's 200's and 250's. and the 240/300 that trucks and vans got, totally diffrent engine though.

    we never really got anything special with our 6's. no special heads, no fuel injection, nothing cool like that

    i believe 1982 was the last ford straight 6 and they still had the pre-crossflow head and 1bbl carbs that late in the game(the 2bbl carb on my engine above was swapped on, they never cam stock)

    we did get some turbo/efi inline 4's and after '82 ford started using the v6 alot more which got fuel injection as well

    cool thanks for that i just want to learn things like that so how do you modifie he cast head with the inlet manifold on it can you still port it?

    i used an adapter plate to put a 2bbl carb on the 1bbl hole. some have gotten their head drilled out tho so the carb bolts right on
