Frank, I would think you could buy just the master cylinder. But with very little effort, why not add power assist? I got it from ABS Power Brake in CA. THe number is 714-771-6549. A Granada unit will not work. It is too long so it won't fit behind the shock tower.
Oh thats the one, thanks Derek. I wondered what it looked like. I paid 30.00 for mine, I'm willing to bet they'd ask a lot more.
I'm going to be doing a conversion to disk in front. what is a bolt on kit and from what year of car?
I dont think thats from a car directly. I'm sure he ordered it from a parts supplier. ABS Power Brake, look a few pages back for the number
Mavaholic, what car is that master cylinder from? also I assume it's from a disk/disk car correct? I wander if there is one that is for manual brakes... I have disk in front and drums in the back with a manual mc which feels fine to me. Here's a more general question... if you don't get the proper mc how bad would the disk brakes drag because of the residual pressure? I had to replace my mc afew years ago but I don't remember if I replaced it before or after I did the conversion and I don't remember which one I got.... thanks.
I got it from a 1985-1993 Dodge D100/D150 1/2 ton truck. It's Disc/Drum, large bore. Mine is all done and the brakes feel real strong. I will have to adjust the prop valve when I get the car running, hopefully thats by next weekend. (Hopefully)
