    One in every crowd :naughty:
It seems there are lots of kits starting to pop up but not many Maverickers have tried them yet. I hope to be able to do one soon myself. Just do your research and read all the Ford related mags.

I have a Fat Man kit but have not installed it yet, in fact it is in another state right now. It is based on the fox body mustang.

Rod & Custom mustang II is the most complete kit on the market.

Other kits can leave out the onesy twosey type pieces that will end up giving you a large headache later.

Struts are no better than the current setup IMO. $.02

    prices

wow these places seem really really high in price. i know you get what you pay for but pheeeeew. lol my buddy was just telling me they have complete from ifs and it comes with slotted and drilled rotors and caliper for like 1600 bucks. Now he thinks it was for a mustang 2 which i dont see why it wouldnt work with a little persuading . i guess all i really wanna do it get rid of the upper control arm and put struts up front. so if anyone knows where i can just get spindles and struts i can buy slotted 11 inch rotors for about 140 bucks a set.

It's a little more complicated than just a set of spindles and a couple of struts. You have to have the alignment held in correct geometry for it to work.

    yes

this i know very well. all i was saying if they are selling me 1 lower controls arm and a spindle , ball joint and a coil over . for boths sides for 2800 bucks? geez if it uses the factory towers than the alignment will not change from factory only ride height and nothing more than caster camber plates shouldnt take care of right? im not disagreeing but im just saying why cant i buy or make spindless that use the factory lower control and and take the upper out and get the spindles from them and you a. lets say a monro sensatrack?

The kits that I have looked at are complete bolt in or weld in front suspensions. you keep nothing from the original suspension and it bolts or welds to the existing subframes. You are talking like it is just half a kit that is grafted on to your existing suspension.
As to why you can't make spindles that use the existing lower control arms and a strut, you can if you have the equipment to do it. Most people don't have a forge and the dies to make the spindles. Neither do they have the ability to make the connections that will hold the suspension in alignment. If you do then there is nothing stopping you.
