Very nice article on a 71 Grabber in Hot Rodding's March issue and there is just a picture and a blurb on a 1974 6 cyl Grabber in Car Craft (Car Crafters??) as well. The article in Hot Rodding is a nice article. I am thinking that the guy that owns the MAverick in that article is NOT a member here just by some of the statements he made, but I could be wrong. The jist of the article was the guy bought the Maverick off ebay after passing on it the first time it was up for auction and didn't sell, when it was relisted he bought it for cheap ($400 or somethign rediculous like that) and was going to turn it into a nice daily driver for his wife. Well as car guys we know how often that pans out....hahahaha Upon going to pick the car up (a 44 hour drive across several states and back) he found out that it was a factory Grabber which the previous owner was unaware of. The Grabber wound up with a 347 stroker and NOS fogger running somewhere in the 10 second range, and he said that his wife is just going to have to drive one of the "blower cars" when she needs to go into town. hahahaha
Ya, that's Lonnie's Maverick. He's on here as blown76mav. There's another thread on here somewhere with pics, but I'm feeling too lazy to search for it.
kewl Glad it is a member.... congrats to him Very nice car.... Sounds like he has a great setup for working on cars.
The one that said you were going to give that car to me Lonnie. I'm glad i got to see it, as it is a great looking car. Looks even better in person.
Got my Mustangs and Fords magazine and it has a Maverick Grabber in it. Is it the same one that is in POPULAR hOTRODDING.
