    Hey Ya'all

So my first attempt to turn her over after changing the oil, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition coil and new battery. It cranks but doesn't want to turn over. I can see the fan moving. I only tried for a few seconds, then looked at the engine and noticed gas dripping from under the carburator, a pretty steady drip about every 2 seconds for over a minute?? Any suggestions?? All would be welcomed, like I've said prior this is my first attempt at working on a car ...........HELP!!

    Rick

A steady drip from the bottom of the carb dosen't tell us much. You need to pin point exactly where the fuel is leaking at. Could be the float bowl gasket, or around the fuel filter, or ??

After you get the fuel leak in order, you need to check and see if it has spark.

Well, the most comical way is to pull one of the plug wires and get your buddy to stick their finger in it while you crank it over. 'course none on mine will fall for that any more except the one who thinks it's funny to get the s#!t zapped out of him. Other way to do it, is pull one of the spark plugs and ground it on something bare metal (with the plug wire hooked up obviously) and crank the car over. Should be a nice blue spark.
