A New Thread...the other the other was gettin a little long.

Well the March pulleys finally got here just in the nick of time for the Savannah meet.
The fit was perfect...no spacing or misalignment problems.

1974 Maverick I bought for $500 8 years ago when I was 16. Since then I have invested $30,000 into it.
Looks Great Riporter, Wanted to also say thanks for the help posting the pics. You probably have already done this but can you post some pics of the whole car. I like the light blue color on the engine looks good. 74Maverick, Thom:clap:

    Well done.

    Riporter-
Your project has been an inspiration to us all in my opinion.
If you don't mind, how much didi you spend on those pulleys and what info did you have to give when you ordered them?
    Thanks,

Thx Ray, The cost on the pulleys were 200.00 with 2nd day air shipping. There is host of info on the topic in the original Belt Conversion thread.
The most noteworthy thing about the conversion in my opinion is the increase in HP.
I went with the underdrive pulleys because I wasn't overly concerned with waterflow since I dont' have A/C.
March says there should be a 11-15 HP increase with this setup versus groove pulleys.
In my situation I think its more like a 20 hp increase because I was able to remove the power steering pump and pulley that was being used as a tensioner more than anything.
I can tell a big difference in power to the rear wheels now compared to before.
Next up...electric fan conversion and 100 amp 1 one wire alternator:D

Riporter, Please let me know what you do as far as the electric fan conversion. I have shopped and I see ones rated at 240 hp and wondering if they re strict to that rating. Dont want to fry my block. Thanx, Thom

Thats awesome you noticed the increase in hp, they look and work great!:bananaman
