This would only be found on '74 cars. This glove compartment door is for sale on E-bay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/72-7...005QQitemZ150207279288QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW My car came equipped with the seatbelt interlock, but there were no signs of this sticker on the glove box door. This sticker shouldn't be too hard to reproduce, Craig and Chuck may know about this one. Seth
I have box, and button, not sticker... I feel very cheated and degraded. Thanks, I think I will go to bed now...
On the left side fender apron just in front of the shock tower. It is a squarish metal box with a red rubber button on it. It was on 74's and very early '75 US Mavericks only as far as I know.. Never seen that sticker before..
I had never seen the sticker before....until that auction. We need to save that picture to the gallery so when the auction disappears.....we still have it.
you think theyre already reproduced for other fords? i was about to say you might be able to get a new mustang one but then i realized there probably isnt that much out there for 74's lol
My 74 did not have that sticker either .... I also owned two 74 Comets back in the 80's ... I don't recall ever seeing that sticker in either of them as well ...
I bought a Maverick Grabber new in '74 and there was no sticker like that and there isn't one on the car I have now. It is possible that it was only manditory on cars going to perticular states or special DSO's A week after I took delivery I unpluged the sensors under both bucket seats. That was that! On the car I have now I left it alone. I always ware the seat belt anyway. Back in 1974 I never used the seat belt until it became law. This is a good anti theft feature. The car will not start if the belt is not on or at least "pulled up" but if it is not buckeled, the warning lite will glow and the busser will sound.
Can you edit the first post so that the picture will always be there long after the ebay auction ends? Thanks.
I just went and checked my 74 Comet 4 door, no sticker, and I still even have the seat belt/ignition system still hooked up and functional in that car.
lol i have been wondering what the red button was and why there were electic plug in my non power seats!
