    Reason for trip

Heres the wreck They went down a 120ft embankment and hit a boulder. Lucky to be alive . they said 19 people died there last yr alone. He has a broken leg and his wife had collasped lung, broken wrist & broken ankle so I guess they were pretty lucky thats all.

I'm impressed with the fact that your wife actually could recognize a Maverick/Comet and thought enough about it to actually take a picture of it and bring it back to you. That is great!!

it was like dejavu all over again. That comet looks exactly like mine did when I first got it. Faded paint, big bumpers, chrome trim and all........ I've got a buddy that moved to Ft. Smith 3 yrs ago, I wonder if he knows........... Robert:confused:

    loves it

    Hey Craig
Actually my wife fell in love with our car when she first saw it. Just not enough to wash it:D One of her friends in high schools Granny had a Maverick that they used to borrow and she had promised it to her when she passed but family didnt let it happen . You know how it goes . She had been looking for a decent one for several years when we found "our comet gt"She even goes to some cruise-ins without me if i have to work so I think it is Cool she likes it as much as I do.
Later Tim "my comet gt" or should it be "our comet gt"

My 1975 Comet is exactly the same....except for the color. The trim along the body line is aftermarket stick on stuff. It also had a factory vinyl "halo" top.

    Uncanny!!!

    So Craig:

What do you think of the big-bumper cattle guards on your '75 Comet?

    [Good for holding tools]!:D

On the comet....it sticks out even farther than on a Maverick. I found myself using it as a great work bench!!
