Actually, I feel an experiment coming on here...

I want to run them without any porting, then swap to the mixed heads I have ported out. Just see what numbers I come up with.

I thought we had already beat this dead horse :deadhorse...Been shopping for them for several weeks. I refused to go over $200 buck for them, and just found them in my price range.

If you DONT grind on them, I would be interested in buying them when you get the aluminum heads. Just so you will know, I had a set of the GT 40s on one of my Blower motors, Swapped for a set of AFRs 165s, saw NO performance gain in the 1/4 or 1/8 mile. Although the engine did run cooler and was easier to cool down. I sold the GT 40s when they were easy to come across, Have wanted a set back since. ( have access to a flow bench now) These are better heads than they have recieved credit for being.

Picked them up today. Will start cleaning them up and swapping springs and rockers in the next day or so when I find some time. This guy also had the 157 tooth 50 oz flywheel in the garage. He wanted $80, should I take it? Looks brand new. I see no signs of wear. It is golden colored, not zinc colored like the last one. Not sure if that means anything.
