    I just saw the 6 cyl head cut away pics on Ken`s "D-7" thread and thought someone might want to see the DOOE 351w head I cut up the other day.
    Stock small block ford head exhaust ports really are terrible!:90: :49:

    So I guess the narrow point in the top of the port is the Themoactor bump that everybody says to grind down? Looks like that is the worst restrictive place.....

    Yeah, it's that big solid chunk of iron that hurts those heads.
    Fortunately there is plenty of meat there to cut it out.
    Takes those heads from dogs, to something on par with/or better than many aftermarket heads.

    from what I have gathered over the years... the 69-70 351w and the gt-40 heads are the best flowing Factory heads that were ever produced.

    I used a set of profesionally http://killiansportingservice.com/ ported DOOE 351w heads on my wifes 302 in the Fairmont.

    Thanks M.A.V, for the head pics. Boy what a contrast from an I6 intake/exhaust port and a 351W intake/exhaust port. Now if I can get my intake ports to flow ~150cfm.
