After two years of work, I finally got to hear it run! Sounds great! Still like a few details before I can actually drive it, maybe I can finish those tommorrow. Won't be long now!

Thanks ya'll. Jamie, I really hope that things have picked up enough by then that we can afford to make the trip. We have had a great time every time we got together with the Dixie Maverick group. I know it will be even more fun when we bring the car!

Got a little time to play with it today. between the "honeydoos". Found out a few good things, a few bad.....
    1. Tranny is good. It has been sitting in my garage in storage for 10 years or more, I wasn't sure if it was going to be any good or not, it will pull in drive and reverse, just a matter of getting other things corrected before I can road test and check the shifting.
    2. Radiator is junk. Couple of pinholes in the core and is leaking at the seam of the top tank. Now I am either going to have to find a good used one or just go ahead and buy new, time and money will tell which....
    3. Holley carb needs a kit in it. Idles great, runs good thru the rpm range, squirter pump not working right, have to pour gas in to crank it, stumbles when you try to increase rpm unless you do it real slow....
    4. Not satisifed with the brakes yet. They hold, but pedal seems soft still, goes down about half travel before they catch. Probably still some air in system, gonna have to try and bleed them again.
    5. Alternator no good.I'm running a 10si Delco that I removed from a truck we parted out, it was charging in the truck, has quit now. Guess I'll just have it rebuilt.

All in all, I'm tickled with it. Just a few minor setbacks, nothing major that can't be overcome. It sounds really great thru the open headers, the cam totes a good lick. When I get the above mentioned problems worked out, then I can start tuning and tweaking to get everything together, even though it seems like it's very close right now.:D:burnout:
