Where can I get a mirror like the one on the car in the link above? My car has this bobo looking teeny chrome mirror that looks like it belongs on a tricycle. :(

Also, my mirror seems like it is mounted way too far back on the door--seems like you have to turn your head way to the left to even see in the rear view. Anybody know what I mean? Is that mirror on my car actually original, or has it been changed at some point?

All I know is that I don't like that mirror. Aside from being hard to use, it is FUGLY!! :16suspect

    Any input from anyone??

Those are called "sport mirrors".They came on grabbers and comet gt's and I think they could be ordered on regular mavericks as a option. You can find them on E-bay and in junk yards . Also You could probably get a set by posting a wanted ad on here. They usally run about 50 bucks for a set.

you'll be lucky to get a good set for $50. As far as the mirrors being hard to use I would say get used to it. That is the way most people describe Maverick mirrors. Some people have been known to move the mirrors forward on the doors to make them easier to see out of.

Funny. I never noticed it all those years ago when I was driving my first Maverick. I guess that means that either now I have gotten spoiled by driving newer cars with all the bells and whistles OR maybe I never used to pay attention to what was happening behind me back then. Maybe a little bit of both!

The mirrors are mounted back to far back on the cars at the factory. On my list of to-dos is moving them forward. I kinda like the stock soap dish looking ones, though.
