A pic is worth a thousand words...

Still need pushrods, flywheel, balancer, probably a new converter. Roller distributor gear.

    Looking really nice!

Distributor gear is best to be installed by machine, auto shop. Needs measured per instructions, Very important!

    Thanks for the warning...

I hope to drop it in over the Christmas holidays, but only if I can afford to buy those last few parts between now and then. All "extra" money seems to be going toward Christmas gifts and decorations right now:rolleyes:

Scott, I assume you got the lifters, spider bar and dog bones from Les?

Also, which pan are you using (dipstick in front)?

    Good luck with it. :thumbs2:

Is that how the oil pan goes on on that year motor? It looks like it's backward. I know on my late model 5.0 build I just did, the pan was on the other way. :hmmm: Looks great tho! (y) What heads are you running?

I took the oilpan, heads, and intake off my old motor. I gave the other heads away, and it had an EFI intake so I left it at the shop where I bought the long block.

The intake is a "new" Torker 289 (I sold my ported one), Holley double pumper 750, block converted to roller cam (thanks RICK BOOK for cam, roller lifter conversion set (picked it up day before yesterday and forgot to write you a thank you note:cry:)) and heads are my GT40Ps that I ported out the exhaust side.

Engine specs are in my signature below...

    I thought you'd finally dump the P heads. :p

We got trouble, with a capital "T", and that rhymes with "P", and that stands for "P HEADS!" :rofl2: Sorry, sometimes stuff just pops in your head and you have to say it. :D I know they flow pretty well, but man, what a headache with the headers. You should cut out the shock towers and use the P-specific headers. :hide: :stirthepot: :outtahere:
