Dash insert

Is there an insert that will cover the hole left in the dash if one were to remove the parking brake handle? If so where can one be found or bought?

So maybe a fuse box cover from a 76+ car?

 

How did the later sytle dash fuse box cover fit normally? Did it have tabs in the dash for the cover snapped into?

I just wouldn't want to use screws on it at all.
I just took a look at it, and maybe I can fab up a piece of plastic to just cover the hole where the rod passes thru the dash.

 

Why would you want to remove the parking brake handle for?

 

It's going away on my car!! Hate that thing right there on the dash. Going to put it down on the trans tunnel like Mustangs.

 

Going 4 wheel disk, and may use s10 front calipers for the job, if so im gonna install line lock to the rears so i won't need it.
If i use the caddy rears then i may keep it.

Just trying to sort out my options.

 

you could look for a later style lower dash that doesnt have the parking brake mounted in it and just swap the whole thing in.

 

The thing is.....if you live in a state that has inspections.....or one that ever will....they will want to see a parking brake.

 

No inspections in Ca.

 

Could the line lock count?
