Okay...my street tires are finally shot. I think I'm gonna break down and get drag radials since my street tires wouldn't hold it down anyway and I do feel some track time coming on. I was running 275/60R/15's but I want to down size just a bit because of some minor rubbing. I don't want to go down too much because of my 4:30 gears. I was thinking of going to a 255/60/15 in a drag radial such as the MT in this ebay ad: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...STRK:MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=110191660909&rd=1
I'm running a 347 with Trickflow heads, toploader 4 speed, and a 9" with 4:30 gears so I need something to hold it down yet be able to drive it on the streets.
Anyway, I'd like some feedback on what you guys are running and if one is better than the other.
    Recommendations???

Those are really nice.Alot of guys around here run them.As long as your not real hard on them (huge unesasarry burnouts) they last real well too.A very good working and looking tire.If i was in the market they would be the ones i buy.
Also on a side note,I have a few friends useing BFG Drag radials and see to like them too.But I think they are alot more $$$$$.

I run M/T drag radials withe a 306 tfs heads/cam and 3:50 9" and they hook great.I have also had the bfg drag radials and the M/T hooked better for me.

Ray, Earl, Frank, Jamie, and myself found some tire for you to consider at the Moultrie Swap Meet. Here's some pictures:

The first two are more of a slick and may require "special spindles," but they are $50 for the pair, including the wheels.

The last two pics are of a unique wheel and tire combo.

jaimie looks like he's really considering those tires and wheels..:yup: ray, i had the M/T et street drag radials on mine and really liked them. you should have come to the roundup. i had an extra set mounted with me in the trailer. could've tried them there.:) not really sure how long they would last on the street though.

As stated in my first post, I have been having a slight rubbing problem with my 275 street tires but only when I go over dips in the road (No, I'm not talking about Hawkco). I am also presently running 15X10 Centerlines but looking at going with 15X8 Weld Draglites and 255's. I'm just a little worried that it's going to change my gear more than I want. It's already difficult enough to get on the highway for more than 20-30 miles at a time having to run at about 60 mph.
The main thing is I don't want to chew on my new tires but I still need to be able to drive it to shows within reason. Anything over 30-40 miles I usually trailor it anyway.

I think Jamie's going to need to put a ladder on that Spyder.
