When pulling out a broken Philco AM radio to put a new-used Philco AM Radio I bought on ebay. I saw a dangling wire and am concerned I pulled it out of a harness that I cant see. The wire is blue and attached to the wire harness going into the radio, One of the blue wires travels a distance the other one has a plug. I dont see what it was plugged to and think it was just there for an accessory. It sits to the left of the radio, between the radio and steering colum. Am I right it was connected to nothing?

I believe that is the wire for the radio light.

I agree with Craig, the wire is probably blue with a red stripe and either red or black female end on it. Every Maverick I have pulled apart so far have had that wire, none of them were ever hooked to anything. Bet if you put a test light or volt meter on it, the power will turn on and off with the headlight switch.
