Well I made alittle more progess on my Goal of Making Comet roadworthy. items replaced in the last 1 1/2 years now.. micing along faster thatn in the preiuos 6 !/23 years Battery Volatage Regulator Ignition switch Alternator Plugs, Distributor Flexplate New Tranny Seals New Carb Newly refinished Aircleaner New brakes (last year ) Yesterday new master cylinder and all new belts Now I want to replace the Radiator, anyone know where I can get a new Radiator ( Stock replacement) for my car with a 250? How much will I have to spend?
Low cost is the goal how much is a 302 rad conmpared to stock one, i oculd see how it might even be cheaper due to sales volume
i havent researched the prices too much but the 250 and 302 rads are interchangable. i think the I6 would be a dual core rad and the 302 one is tripple. then agian if price is an issue you might want to see how much a local sho will charge to fix your current one.
ehy that is a good point my curernt one is not leaking but I think it is really ginked up inside from shear age that might be a low cost alternative
ohh well thats good news. i'd just start by just investing in a coolent flush from the local parts store then
A new radiator should be available from any of the regular parts stores. As an alternative, you can also use a '70 Mustang radiator. I currently am running a 3 core '70 Mustang radiator in the '72 daily driver with an electric fan (and recently swapped back to a 200 I6). With this cooler fall weather, I very rarely have to turn the fan on, even when sitting completely still...
I only see them on ebay, and they are around 140-200 usd...I need one myself, but the shipping will kill me...
Maybe this is something for you! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Radi...010QQitemZ200156392882QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V
