big let down Well Sabrina and I are really bummed at the moment, we drove 8 hours to look at this black and silver stallion we thought that we wanted to buy and when we got there I found that the floor was rusted all the way through on the drivers side. I dont know much about body or frame work so this really worried me. A little surface rust or a small isolated rust hole wouldnt worry me to much on the body, but a dinner plate sized swiss cheese area on the floor under the steering wheel (that the seller says he didnt know about), surface rust on everything under the car(including under the hood) and a seller thats apparently trying to distract me from looking at the details of the car , while nervously rushing you to pay them for the car makes me wonder. anyway sabrina and I didnt feel right about the deal especially at the price he wanted so we walked. The car looked good on the net but not so great when you look it in the mouth. I reckon I need to change my user name. By the way If I dont currently own a mav do I still get to post?
YES SIR (and Mrs.)... (only if you get a Mav. and not a Comet). sorry about the car...you did good in walking...a lot of buyers see what they want to see when buying a car they want.you two did good by seeing what was there you will find another...everything happens for a reason... good luck :Handshake ...Frank...
Sorry to hear that. Dont give up, there is a Stallion waiting for you! It took nearly 10 years for my father to find a Stallion like he had in 76, so dont give up! You said that the car look good on the net, do you have the link of it? I dont know, but there is one right here... maybe its the one you are talking about? http://cnj.craigslist.org/car/445960687.html
Thanks Steve! I dont have acces to my email right now (i'm at work) but will check that this evening and let you know. Thanks for helping us to grow the registry! BTW, was it the Stallion on craigslist i posted? Thanks!!
Steve,, you are more than welcome to hang out here. Keep your eyes peeled. Stallions show up for sale on here sometimes. And I think you were wise to pass up the rusted Stallion. They are ususally much worse when you take them apart. Dan
I got it! Thanks! Do you have picture of it and the link where you found it? Yep! The price is a big concern too. If the car need a lot of work and the price is high you better let it go. Steve: you can go to the registry. I made a page about Stallion stuff (including car) that are for sale on the internet. You can check it out and send email to some car that wasnt sold.. http://membre.oricom.ca/plemire/ebay.htm (faster this way)
red stallion Hey I called the guy about the red stallion but he said that it recently sold. Looked like a solid car. Sabrina was excited when I told her that someone from the board had allready checked it out and said it was in good condition. To bad it had sold .
You will find another one. Be patient. There was a Yellow one with a 302 that was for sale on ebay. The link is on the registry in the ebay section. You could contact the seller!
