Finally decided to try the nitrous kit that's been sitting around for almost a year. Only did a 50 shot and went 10.52 @ 128mph :woohoo1:.

Everything looked good but next run trans went clunk shifting into 2nd and went straight to 3rd. There's no more 2nd and the trans is locked in reverse and neutral . Still went a 10.72 though.

I'll get her fixed up better than new:yup:.

There's a company out there in Cali called Pro-Trans, I would suggest them for all the parts/service that you need.

Thanks dude...I'm gonna need it. Pulled the pan and valve body and there's nothing obvious, so there's definitely some internal mechanical carnage. No metal or debris in the pan so that's good. I went ahead and pulled the trans. Gonna go through it tomorrow. I should have her fixed in a few days.

I don't think I'll have it ready to make it to the Super Street Car Nationals this weekend in Vegas...guess I'll just have to watch. Hopefully I'll be ready for the next PSCA race in a few weeks.

C'mon, Erick. Who amongst us doesn't 'thrash' until the last minute to make an important race?

You can't borrow a tranny? Man, I'd try really hard to make that race as I know it's pretty big event.

Well, I'm sure you gave it your best shot anyway. Good luck next year. :drive:

Parkway Ford has the best prices on performance automatics! I like mine,, added bonus lifetime warranty (yearly freshen ups free if you want) They drop ship from the factory! Trans King in Texas is good! Really great transbrake for C-4

    Nice times! Good Luck!

    Thanks dkstuck!

Well, the one thing I was hoping wouldn't happen did...the forward planetary blew up. Lots of carnage:cry:.

Rick: I would love to thrash- that is when I get the most done, but the problem is $$$. I was on the fence about going to the race anyways due to $ and taking more time off work. I'll probably have just as much fun watching anyways cause this race is going to be incredible!

I broke the planetary on old tranny. Was a 3 gear, guess we know why they make the 6 gear! A local guy rebuilt that one due to time factor, He's good on gm trannies, but he just never had the c-4 quite right and I never knew when I had to pull it for another freshen up! Eddie Bolten in MD did it the first time and I had tons of runs on it before the planetary went. I am going to send it back to him for rebuild and keep as a spare (someday)

    How's all coming along?

If it were me, I would go for the rollerized 3-gear, or the rollerized 4-gear. The 6-gear is overkill, however, the gears are not rollerized.....they ride on thrust washers just like the stock one.
