Well the last time out I switched from an RPM Air Gap to a Vic Jr to see if there was anything to be had on the mid to upper end. It rans 12.10 with a lacking low end. So to try and help that a bit I threw on a buddys trusty 1" 4 hole Moroso spacer, It picked it up right to 11.93. Another issue was going through the traps @ 6800rpm, that had to come down a bit to around 6400. That nites best was 11.84 @ 113
So I stuck the RPM Air gap back on with the 4 hole spacer. I also got me some 28" ET Streets to take the place of the 26"s that were on there thinking it would lower rpm through the traps by about 400rpm (Acording to the Moroso slide rule it would)
Race day, so first time down the track it felt pretty good and the shift light came on right as I was going through the traps. So the slide rule was right on...... That pass netted me a 11.75 @ 113 then the rest were as follows.
    11.72 @ 114
    11.72 @ 114
    11.75 @ 113

Needless to say I was as happy as a pig in poo :yahoo:

Not enough stall Rick. Vic Jr's are a good intake as long as you can get off from the start. 6800 is a little high unless you made so big changes but I think your motor could handled it.
With all that said, you should be saying ... Here Honda, Honda, Honda.
Couldn't you just see the look on that guys face when an OLD Comet smokes his pride and joy.:chirp:

    Take care

Thanks for the comments guys. Im having alot of fun with this car and I almost cant bring myself to pull the engine and do more to it. I wanted to put a light forged rotating assembly, 13-14:1 pistons, big roller cam, and scream the crap out of it and get her in the mid 10's on the motor. But I dont see me doing it. Cage is going in this spring though

Terry how have you been ? I havnt spoke with you in a wile. As you can see I got my heads back from AFR without a problem. Lets just hope the guides last this time.

Rick, sorry I haven't been around.

Back problems and lots of them, that's why no one has heard from me.
I'm doing better now, I can sit for more then 2 to 3 minutes at a time and can move without to much pain.

I tried the Ford weekend at Hagerstown but two things happened.
First my back didn't hold up and second my rocker arm stud insert came out of my head on the #4 cyl and that was enough to send me home.

    My 2007 season... 1 pass!
    I still run 11.00 on 7 cyls

I'm looking forward to 2008 and plan on catching up on what I missed in 07

Take care and call me when you have a chance.

    Terry

Sorry man. After breaking a couple vertabre wrecking my atv 2.5 years ago....It has been hell for me since. Never a day without pain. Some are better than others but still......hope it works out better for you. I have muscle spasms from a slipped disc, degenerative discs, and lotsa of arthritis. I know you are older so you may get more help. I have been told you are to young and nobody will do surgery. Thereare newer pain killers on the way that are devolped from snake posiins/sea Snails and the such that are suppposed to be awesome. We shall see....
