If you cannot source them pre-made (I looked at all my vendors, I couldn't) I can bend you up a complete set of stainless lines. We do it for all our shop cars. PM or email me and we can talk about it.
Hey man- I spoke with my fabricator this morning- I'm going to begin offering complete stainless steel brake line kits. Master all the way down. They will come pre-cut AND flared with all stainless fittings, you will need to bend the lengths to fit. A small hand bender will do the job nicely. I'm going to price it at around 120 bucks.
Oh yes- they and a few others offer pre bent kits... butI *think* if you check out that page, you'll see that they areoffered in 3 seperate sections (front, front to rear and rear axel)- if added together (as I believe you would need to to make a complete kit, master on down) the cost is substantial. Also, I don't see them mention stainless fittings, etc... doesn't mean they arn't included- but I don't see it there. I dunno man, I was aiming more for the do-it-yourselfer on a tight budget... but IF they are actually offering a TOTAL kit, master on down to every piece needed in stainless pre flared with stainless fittings included- then hell- I'll buy that too!! lol Its all good.
Sorry Mad Max just throwing them out there as an option. I like your all stainless approach. Perhaps a kit designed for disc brake conversions including proper front and rear stainless flex lines.
oh its no problem at all mate- the more info available the better- selling brake lines is not the sum total of my business. I just look for places in our hobby that there may be a need for a particular item or kit, etc. I'm not a charity but I don't need to make a killing on this stuff either, ya know? Sometimes i'll think i have a "great" idea, i'll post about it and some of the members here will gently point out that the same item can be had from a different place for half of my best price, lmao. Itsactually a good thing because then I'll buy from that place instead, lol.
I'm lucky I live 30 minutes from Right Stuff. You can take any line in and most of the time they will bend it while you wait. I haven't had mine bent yet but talked to them yesterday.
Find out what they want for a COMPLETE stainless set- master cyl right on down to the back and all the rear axel pieces- pre flared and including all stainless hardware and fittings...
I bought mine from Right Stuff, there pretty good, I had to do some tweeking, but I'm happy. Good quality stuff!! and excellent customer service. $120 seems a little cheap, and with brakes cheap isn't a good thing.
CHEAP?! I MAKE money on them at 120... other places are making (a LOT) more. Its a situation of someone having something that someone else doesn't want to be bothered dealing with, so they name their price. I'm not knocking them IN ANY WAY- I am POSITIVE that their stuff is quality, nicely bent up line- worth every penny in ratio...but don't kid yourselves.... Its all labor cost. To put it in perspective for you: I buy the BEST wall strength extruded stainless line that is available- an amount of this line (and stainless fittings) sufficient to do an entire maverick costs ME around 70 bucks in the quantity I buy... so 'right stuff' is paying that or even less... it takes me personally around 30 min to properly bend all the line for a mav... so whatever they are charging (or I am charging, for that matter, if I were selling pre bent kits) can be calculated thusly: $70 parts 30 min labor = all the rest, whatever it comes out to! See- you're in the wrong business man, if you were a stainless brake line bender you'd be making HUNDREDS an hour labor, lol. Also remember- I was asking if do it yourselfers were interested in buying my pre-flared and fitted but UNBENT line for 120... they need to bend it to suit. I build drag cars and there are just too many variations to account for every bend angle, etc etc. Stock is one thing, but when you start adding in narrowed rear ends, traction bars, non stock brakes and masters... This whole thing is taking on an adversarial tone that I really want to avoid- if anyone wants to shop with someone else, of course thats cool- I was just letting folks know that I will sell them enough pre cut and fitted stainless line to bend themselves and do their entire maverick, thats all.
