If anybody has an old autokrafters book from around 97 id like to see if you could tell me the Grabber stripe colors for 71, My car originally came with grayish/white grabber stripe and i bought it back in 97 but now they are only listing it as "white" thanks

Dan, are those stripes silver and white or all silver? I can tell the Grabber word on the fenders are white. That is a dark green, not black, correct? Black would be really rare. Hard to believe he kept it THAT mint from the start, i.e. no repaint or restoration...all the way from high school. Super nice looking car!

Yup ... super nice car ... it is dark green ... and never restored ... I think the only thing not original was a fan belt or something like that. He still has the original tires up in his attic.

I do believe the center stripe was reflective silver and the pinstripes white. Maybe Ralph will chime in an verify ....

As of now .. I have first dibs if it ever goes up for sale ... :)

Dan, good thing you've got deep pockets! If I were him, first off I'd never sell it, but if I did, it wouldn't be a cent under $15,000, maybe a good bit more. It's hard to put a price tag on what would now be a member of the family! It COULD conceivably be the nicest UNrestored 71-72 Grabber in existence. Hard to say where the value could be in ten more years!

Dan those are the exact stripes my car came with. The 1970 grabber came with a white stripe, i wish somebody had an old catalog to verify this, it's weird they dont list a silver grabber stripe anymore. for 1971

Chuck....is Ralph's dark green Grabber the same color as your Grabber?

Dan is correct, the 71 stripes are actually a reflective silver center with a solid non-reflective white pinstripe. The 70 grabbers were solid non-reflective white center and pinstripe.

Mavtricks71..... the stripe manufacturers list the 71 as white/white but I do believe the center is actually reflective silver, probably best to just ask them to make sure as I have not seen any repros this color.

And yup...Dan has first dibs....but don't start cleaning out the garage just yet......LOL
