Thats right you heard correectly, i sold the maverick down the river. I didnt even do something as nobel as sell it for college or anything............I traded it.................for a 1963 oldsmobile dynamic 88 holiday. Now i know what many of you are thinking, and im sorry that i disgraced the maverick and the ford but i couldnt pass up that deal, i had a 77 4 door and this guy traded me this olds, only 53k original, perfect interior, perfect body and its already in primer, it has the 394 in it :D. Opposed to the 250 six in the maverick its a bit quicker. Well ill be on from time to time checkin out peoples mavs and offering any helpful expirences i had with mine, after all the maverick is more than a car.....Its a lifestyle!

    I certainly understand that trade.

Now what you do is sell that car, and go buy yourself an original v8 small bumper 2door maverick, and use the excess cash left over to deck it out... seriously, you'll eb a lot happier... and it'd be a tough tie between that olds and a maverick... well dunno about the 6 but i know mine would smoke the crap out of it, and it's just got a cam and struggling to run! haha

But yeah my daily driver is a 92' olds delta 88 LXS, the evolved version of what you bought, and for a boat, it's take off isn't TOOO bad! :p

My folks had a '64 Olds 88. It was the first car I remember them having.

Each summer, we would drive from Chicago to Florida. Got to ride in the back seat with my two bratty younger sisters for three agonizing days without air conditioning. Two weeks later we would make the miserable return trip.

Other than that, I really did like that car.(y) Nice Buy! I'll bet it drives just fine with that engine swap.
