The mystery of the great condition of the car has been partially revealed. It has a Los Angeles DSO ....
the shifter should work for you with little modification, some granadas and monarchs had a manual 3-speeds with overdrive and the same console. there is a shifter bezel for the manual that is different from the auto shifter.. there hard to find though..
How does it run? just wondering if you got it going this guy contaced me wanting to sell it outright, but I needed a good running car for transportation. When I talked to him he said it barely ran and so I said no thanks (shipping to where I lived would have cost a little under what I would have paid for the car. Glen
Weather has been bad in GA so we basically wheeled it off the trailer and into my Garage. He told me he got it to run buy pouring some gas in the carb - but there is no battery in it so I haven't tried. I imagine that sitting so long if there is any gas left in the tank it is turpentine by now. The engine was of no concern to me anyway - I bought it for the body ....
Well it was dark by the time I got home from work today but decided to scrub down the car with Orange type wash. Here is the picture with the car wet and back in the garage. It's about 35 degrees outside so my fingers are a little numb ... http://homepage.mac.com/dmhines/PhotoAlbum33.html

Dan, it is great to see you back on the board again! Glad to see you found such nice Maverick to work on! I was surprised to see you give up on your other Grabber, I had figured you would have had it just about done by now. You put a lot a work into it, but I could see why you wanted to go to something that was rust free. Keep us updated on your progress!
