Well on back from Fresno california when i picked up the 71 grabber , it was about 11pm and i wa s about an hour outside los angles, well im a diabteic and my blood sugar was dropping so i stopped at a gas station to drink a soda, so im sittin there on tailgate, guy walks up to me , he about has a heart attack holy shi%! a maverick grabber! he said he hadnt seen one in about 25 years, he just kept walking around car, he was in azamement for 15 minutes then, I thought this was funny as heck , i get people who stop and talk,,, but this guy was in true amazment, he was asking me where i found it...and all that stuff. If it were a mustang hed prolly just drive off, everybody sees mustangs...this is reason i like mavericks! :)

im diabetic too, ive been in that position more then once :)

there are some real hard core guys out there like that. i run into one everyonce in a while at a car cruise.

last week some random guy came up to me and said "thats somewher between a 70 and 72 right?" kinda made me feel good because my bumper swap fooled some one who obviously knew something about mavericks

Thats awesome. I love it when that happens. When I took my 4dr to the dmv, the lady came out to inspect the VIN and got the biggest smile on her face. She said her mom use to own one just like it, and she hasn't seen one in years.
She was a LOT nicer after that and had me a plate and title in 20 minutes...

Great story... In sweden where I live, people almost run of the road because they are looking at my car instead of where they are driving, a big no no is that the police like to follow me around... maybe they are as interested as anyone else...

Really wondering how many Mavericks/Comets still rolling in sweden?

    All the best...
