I have a 625 Road Demon workd just fine for me. I am not a fan of edelbrocks. I know of three friends and they replace accel pumps frequently.

T.L.--no, i haven't tried the street avengers, but i have heard good things about them. What really keeps me from trying one is that they cost in the neighborhood of the Demon's, but you lose a lot of things...like the venturii aren't as aerodynamic, choke isn't as good, and i don't think they come with billet metering blocks either (personally, i don't know if there's even a huge difference with billet or not, but a lot of professionals claim there is, and for the money, why not?). I think if i was buying a carburetor, i would go with either the Demons or possibly a Proform'ed Holley (billet everything). If you look on ebay, you can find used Demons and proform carbs for in the neighborhood of $250. As long as you don't mind a little cleaning and some new gaskets, it's well worth the savings!
