Hello Maverick & Comet Maniacs: I hope no offense is take by my salutation. I just want to state my mission. I am helping a friend of mine (Vilma) who is wheelchair bound, to sell off a 1970 Ford Maverick that has been just sitting in her garage since 1993. Once upon a time this car was in very good condition, however, when she became handicapped in the early 1990's, she allowed her friend and friend's son use the vehicle, which they did not take very good care of it. At the present time it is without a headlliner, the the right front fender and headlight is in of a little body work, and she tells me the steering is out, the brakes have gone out, in need of a new radiator. Also, she has old registration papers in her name, although it hasn't been registered since 1993, and she needs to get a duplicate Pink slip. Other than that, its okay (I will be getting some photos soon). If anyone has any ideas, as the salvage value of this car, and placement of this car to the right party, I'm sure it could be a win-win. I think it would be shame to see the car go to a junk yard, and since Vilma is handicapped and on limited money, for her to recieve fair value for the car as opposed to pennies would be a plus.
