We still don't give our cars enough credit. IMHO, this car is worth alot more than $1500! Figure what it would cost to add the grabber hood, buckets, pedal assembly for the 4 speed & the V8!!! A great basis for a start...

Seems a little high to me. Parked for 20 years.....that car will need EVERYTHING. If it's as rust free as it looks (except for that one floor board), I would say $1200 tops in my book.

    But hey...that's just my opinion.

If this car is no worse than the pictures show,I'd pay twice that for this car if I was in the market for one. A good solid base is worth the money and floor pans are the easiest to fix.

I agree with Dennis...I about fell outta my chair when I saw it.
I'm gonna be very interested to see what it goes for.
I think our cars are starting to get the monetary recognition they deserve.
If I hadnt just bought a Comet I'd be all over it:cool:

    Too high for my blood!

I think it is already up higher than I would pay for it. My car had been sitting for 20 years in a barn, and it has had issues with seals dryrotting, and little things here and there. I guess that 2000 is the highest that I would pay for this car. Just MHO. Country

If you look at prices of other model cars such as Mustangs the difference in cost is dramatic from a Maverick. More demand for a Mustang but more of a rarety with a Maverick. In a couple years when Maverick's become even more popular and more rarer the price that seems high today will be a steal. No one wants to spend a lot of money but if you snooze you loose. Supply and demand!! It is not 1972. You can't go order one. We have to take and save what is left. Too many years of crushing and rust has taken a large chunk of our hobby away. Mavericks pose a bigger challenge to restore than the Mustang due to lack of parts and I'm sure all of you will agree they are better looking. I think Maverick's are finally starting to get the recognition they deserved after all these years. I own a 1988 Mustang GT and a 2001 Lightning. If I want to go to the store I drive the Mustang. If I want to go the store in a hurry and pick up some large items I drive the Lightning. If I want to go to the store and I have enough time to BS with everyone that walks up to me to talk about what a nice car I have, I drive the Maverick.

My 69 Mustang has tripled in value in ten years, and I sure haven't spent much on it. If I had to buy another one, I couldn't afford it.

    Unfortunately, I sold a 69 Mach 1 with a 428 CJ-4 speed for $7000 in 1987, and now it would be worth about 30k.

    Damn.
