Nice work!! My Sprint had rust in that same corner, although not quite that bad.

I have no major work or work of any kind because i can't weld, hence my post stating that i needed to learn how to weld.
    Check it out:
Notice where I said that "I" (thats me) "need"(that means it is necessary) "to learn"(indicating I do not at this point know how) "to weld"(thats where you use high heat or electricity to bond two separate metal objects together permanently).

    Hope that helps.

ok, paintank I its seems my weld look bad, unfortunately I had to weld the replacement panel that way becus the thickness of the metal will not allow me make one complete weld from start to finish. The metal will buckle and shrink if you thought that the weld looked bad before, they would really looked bad if i welded in one single pass. Sorry I didn't mean it they way it came out. I didn't quite understand your comment.:16suspect I feel really stupid like a big dumbass sorry i didn't read ur post right

That looks perfect to me. I can't do anything close to that.
I used to make feeble attempts at welding but always made more slag and goobers than decent welds.
I lucked out and got a Comet with very minimal rust issues. It needs more straightening and painting than than anything else.
