Thanks guys. Yes those are matches in the trunk. We used them to light a small propane tourch so we could melt the lead out the seam in the upper quarter panel. The thought did accure to me that we could just set the car on fire and that would be the end of it, but I couldn't do that to our Mav. The car only has 36000 original miles on it and it runs like a top. It's just been neglected for too long. It's kind of like having the heart of a twenty year old and the body of a one hundred and twenty year old!
hey jean you guys wouldnt happen to have any more of those factory quarters laying around would ya? possibly with my name on them?
Wow Jean, looks like you guys have been busy! I am impressed with your work. How did your torque boxes turn out? I may have missed that post since I have been off the board for a few weeks.
The torque boxes came out great and the new quarter is in place and welded in. We got most of the work done on the floors. We had another job come in and all work on the Maverick has come to a halt for a while. Fixing up the Maverick unfortunately will not pay the bills.
