I need to know what kind of pan i need to fit my 71 302 block, 347 stroker with a main girdle from coast high performance? And it needs to fit with no problems or clearance issues...

    i need front sump correct?

what about rear? what year did they change that? late 70's?

anyway, I need to know what canton pan or equivalent that will fit...

    and soon...

Front Sump pan, and depending on the girdle and oil pump, you may need to shave the oil pump a bit. I know on of the Canton pan has a built-in crank scraper/windage tray that interfered with my girdle from FPS....I ended up with a Milodon front sump on mine.

well.... at this point i could care less what pan i get as long as it's an extra capacity like a 7qt. and it fits over my probe industries 3/8" main girdle with arp studs. I have a melling high volume oil pump with billet drive shaft.

moroso, canton, etc... anything that will fit on my block and in my maverick. i'm so frustrated with this...

i'm getting the canton's tend to interfere with the motor mounts, and yadda yadda yadda...

    any suggestions?

Oh yeah, the Canton pan does have a flatter, wider sump (compared to the Milodon) and I can see how it could have interference problems. As for the Moroso version, I have no clue, but the Milodon pan has 7 quart capacity and fit fine on mine. http://www.milodon.com/oil-pans/street-oil-pans-ford73.asp

    Hope that helps.

is it the very first one on the page?

if it works.... it's great to me..

by the way, what price range are we talking? and i have a windage tray as well, also, do i need the pickup, and dipstick?

the canton is 288.00 plus like 64 bucks for the pickup and 34 for the dipstick..
