Grabber hoods

    Does anyone know if some Grabber mavericks came with regular hoods with Grabber stripes and lettering? Maybe in 1974?

    Yeah, '70 and '73 for sure, and I think '74 -'75 as well.
    '71-'72 were the only years for the "Grabber" hood with the scoops...

    1970 Grabbers had regular hoods with stripes. 71/72 Grabbers had scooped hoods with stripes no lettering. 73-75 Grabbers all had Regular hoods with a Grabber stripe that said Grabber.

    1973 -1976 Looked like this

    1972 Looked like this, notice the split in the strip up the middle, that is because the 1972 blackout hood strip was a 2 piece decal.

    1971 looked like this, notice the blackout is solid, it was painted on in 1971

    and the one that began it all, the weaker of the Mavericks (no V8 option in 1970) but the 1970 Grabber looked like this. Notice there is no GRABBER lettering in the side strip

    Man ....my bubble was burst...a guy at work offered me a hood for a grabber when he found out I had Mav....I was am am still greatfull but it has no scoops..:( ...But I got a straight hood. Anyone looking for factory bumpers for a 74 ? They are straight but need chroming.. He still has them.
