    painted the hood (had some chips that were starting to rust) and the back panel just because it looks more badass.. also painted the headlight bezels and the grill. what you guys think?

    Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P

    thanks guys and gals:) i just used some regular duplicolor flat black on everything and its holding up really good(y)

    I love what you did to the hood, it looks real professional!! I want my back panel painted like that whenever I get Spots (my car, yes I name my cars) to the painters' (whenever that'll be lol).

    i just taped hood along the line, the corners were the hardest part but i finally got it good.. the back i just taped everything off too

    ya i was kinda scared to do the hood but i just figured f*** it, so i went for it and it turned out great.. first i put on the primer because of the bare spots i sanded and it looked like **** so i put on a coat of regular flat black and it looked good.. the only thing u gotta worry about is taping it straight...

    I was experimenting with a semigloss bumper paint a few weeks ago. I painted the grill (it made the broken section "disappear"). While I was at it, I did the same as you and painted the back and the hood.

    . Notice the leading edge of the hood is really pittedMy next "experiment" is to try the whole car.

    I like the blacked grille & bezels look. Both of mine are painted black. I'm going to do the taillight panel on my son's 72. Here's a pic of the car.
