This is an email that Chuck Stalnaker received in response to an advertisment he runs in Mustang and Ford Trader :

    Subject:
    Re: ARE YOU SERIOUS?

I just wanted to see if this add was a joke? I cant honestly believe that someone would buy / sell
ANYTHING related to a maverick....funny....I can just imagine some guy in a 4-door maverick and a v-8
going to a drag strip and thinking that he has a race car!!!....come on...

    This was Chuck's response:

I guess your email just shows the world is full of idiots. I'll forward your email to the Maverick club so you can
    hear some more comments...

    Chuck
    The Maverick Connection

Think this idiot actually sent this from his employer's email address?

Humm, what a turd! I think I may have to do a little email composing in a bit. I wonder if he's ever heard of Dyno Dan? Or in his specific area of expertise dealing with Maverick bashing, the Tiajuana Taxi? I wonder what he drives? You know, I would think that it should be required to know a little history about most of the cars built by your employer, but sadly this isn't the case in this day and age. It seems as if any moron can just walk in and get a job as long as they know how to sell a car, do accounting, or whatever basic skills the job requires. I think a little history lesson should be mandatory, or find someone who knows what the hell they're talking about or will at least respect other's preferences without being a jackass about it. Man, here I go on and on like an old timer and I'm only 18. 18 going on 80...... Shoot, I'll be back...gotta go pluck some grey hairs...:D

    Understanding Mavericks

Most younger people do not understand Ford Maverick! It was not promoated as a muscle car. It was the "simple machine" econo car. Thats it was intent. It was forgein car compition. I changed a lot of peoples minds though when I got my NEW 74 302 Grabber. They would say thats a MAVERICK? Awsome! It still happends today! I love when this happends! I change there minds! Tell these people to look at the market today, How many Gran Am GTS (4DOOR) are and all the Fast and Feurios cars are there! How about 4door Mercurys Muradors and Crown Vicks. Today, your in the in with a 4door 4cylinder import with a over size spoiler/wheels/tires and custom paint/single exhaust/blaster radio. I guess everyone has a right. But why not any Maverick? I remember pulling into my local ford dealership back in 1989 with my 71 Maverick to order a strip of chrome from the parts department. One of the salesman came up to me and said, "How would you like to trade that in on a new car." and I replied, You couldn afford just the engine, let alone the whole car, and besides, why would I want a car with all the smog crap on it anyway" he shot back with, Ill give you $1000 trade in on it. I laughed as I walked away...

It's not just a car, it's an extension of who you are

Always better to know who you are dealing with first!

I can't speak for Mark, but I have a very good idea of how, and it is just like they say sometimes "it's better that you don't know". :D

As Bruce Banner says "You are making me angry, you wouldn't like me when I am angry." :D :D
