Before 1973 the maverick had no “glove box.”

I have thee 73's and not one of them have a glove box.
One of them does have for lug wheels though.
It seems that the "Facts" are like everything eles from Ford - flexible!

Both of my 73's were 6 cylinder cars, and both have the shock tower reinforcment. Neither of my 76's, 72's, nor my '69.5 or '74 Grabber have the shock tower reinforcment.

The '72 Grabber we have is a factory 302, floor shift automatic car with factory A/C and power steering, and it does not have reinforced shock towers.

I believe the glove box vs. package tray was a running change during the '73 model year. From what I have seen, all earlier 73's have package trays while all later ones do not. My '73 4 door was made in December of '72, and came factory with a package tray. My '73 2 door was made in June of '73 and had a glove box. Both had A/C and are 5 lug.

Incorrect. Granadas were being made while Mavericks were being made,

The Fairmont took the place of the Maverick.

Here is the pregression: Falcon 60(61)- 68
    Maverick 69.5-77
    Fairmont 78-83
    Tempo 84-who cares?

What’s the story on the different steering wheels? Mine has the “little round horn.” Others have the large “boxy horn.” Was it an accessory?

there is also the 69.5 rim blow steering wheel, and the stallion had the sport steering wheel as an option
