Does anyone know if this tank will fit in a 1974 ford maverick http://www.gastanks.com/prodinfo.asp?number=F-30
That link does'nt work because you had it in your shopping cart, the page will expire. Need the link to just view the tank.
the 76 tank will fit, if you use the 75-77 straps i got my tank from the same place no rust in 2 years of being exposed...they also sell them at napa
they don't reproduce them, so your going to have get one at the junkyard, ebay,or the for sale/wanted threads on this forum.
i have a 74 sender but i haven't used it yet, it would work but it will mark wrong like it will say its empty but it will still have a bout 3 gallons left...not too bad.
...do you know this..or are you guessing i put my '73 sender in my '76 tank and it reads fine. the tanks are the same depth where the sender pickup tube sets put your '74 sender in and look in the filler hole with a flashlight. the pickup tube (sock) should be on the bottom of the tank... ... ...
i tried to take a pic. inside of my new tank but the flash washed the pic. out..good luck on yours... ... ...
that's ...kind-o-like...setting your clock ahead 10 mins. so you want be late...who are you fooling . why not it ...be empty...when it say ...it empty...then you will know it's empty...and not guessing i might have enough to get X amount more miles. i set my digital guage to read... O percent...when empty.. it is set to ...flash from 10 percent down to 0 percent. ... ...
May not make sense to true car people, but the factorys always leave a bit of "reserve" in the tank for people who aren't terribly bright. That way, when its says empty, you won't run out on the way to the gas station. Most new cars will even tell you how much will be left when the gauge first says empty in the owners manual. And the pickup won't get that last 1/2-1 gallon off the bottom of the tank anyway.
when i stopped to gas up going to J-ville Fri. i stopped it at 20 gals.(didn't kick off) i have the 19.2 gal tank. my gauge read 0 percent. so that must be close (maybe too close). ... ...
